My 50th birthday was absolutely amazing. I woke up to so many loving text messages from family and friends, along with thoughtful Cash App surprises and cash gifts, including several from my brother LaMont who, as he does every year, 🎵 sang me happy birthday to start the day perfectly.
Next up was a relaxing pedicure gift, complete with a soothing leg massage. Now my toes are pink, sparkly, and ready for the spotlight. Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, I was surprised with a trip to Guitar Center to pick out my very own acoustic guitar. I walked out with a beautiful Yamaha and a full heart.
After that came another birthday bag filled with sweet little gifts like candles, a book, cards, and clothes. Then it was off to dinner at one of my favorite places, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The food was incredible, the service was top notch, and the music was on point. They even had some good funk playing.
But the surprises weren’t over! I ended the night with another unexpected gift from my other brother Frank that I had no idea was coming.
The most amazing part? This whole incredible day was orchestrated by my mom! 🧡🙏🏼 She kept everything a secret and just kept taking me from one surprise to another. It just didn’t end!
One day filled with nothing but surprises.
I have so many pictures and footage, but I wanted to just enjoy the moment instead of being glued to my phone on the actual day. Sometimes the best celebrations are the ones you savor first before sharing them with the world. I’ve included a few here and I’m hoping to get some time to put together a collage or maybe share different moments over time - if I even get around to it!
But I had to share how grateful I am. My family (and friends too, but especially my family) really made this an unforgettable birthday.
What a beautiful way to step into this new decade! 💕

Happy Life/Birthday Octavia. To Yah be all the glory for the great things He has done in your life and through your life. I've been caught up my sis in the responsibilities of life. My adult children need support and one of them is supporting my mom as she prepares for surgery. I don't mind. Yah is my strength. However, I can see that my children and their generation will not surpass us economically as we did our parents. The world is so much challenging than 30 years ago. These young adults are living in the days of wars and rumors or wars, real time.
I am glad you had a wonderful day with your family and were remembered by those who love and honor you. Thank you for sharing pictures and especially the one of you and your mom. It's precious.
