Faced with Scorpion's and Serpents

Not just a memory verse in Luke 10, but real-life events, repentance leads the charge

Memorize Luke 10:18-20 with this song - I HAVE THE AUTHORITY

Did you know scorpions and serpents can be literal AND figuratively speaking?

Since coming to live in the country, there have been a myriad of pestilence to get under control. We now have our own heavy-duty spray which has protected in house and our perimeter, but just weeks before that, we were faced with two scorpions on our back screen.

Why are we seeing scorpions? This is just freaky.

Thankfully at that time we did have hornet & wasp spray that (in the fine print reads) kills Scorpions, too. The label warned to stand back when spraying and we did just that.

Covered in white foam, we heard them hissing to their demise!

But wait! There’s more… Up by our mailbox, where we set the garbage out to be picked up, there lies a dead snake! What in Yahs green earth??!

This country life is making me stronger by the day! I felt some of these “pestilence” arrivals have been connected to “spiritual matters”- attacks from without and lack of obedience/repentance within.

What am I talking about here?

We can think we’re “OK✔️” but unless you spend consistent, quality time with Yah (however that looks for you personally), it’s tough to carry the stress of the day and find yourself under the shadow of His wings for supernatural protection from the enemy’s snares. This is why I always encourage you to…

confess your sins on a daily. Ask Yah “Have I offended you with anything I’m doing in my life?” However, if you know you’re doing wrong - STOP and Turn, go the opposite direction. Ask The Father for forgiveness and to help you stand.

Life is already challenging to say the least so don’t bring any unnecessary hardship. For example: Don’t argue in your house, keep your thoughts pure, keep your vessel clean, obey the Fathers voice with whatever He’s instructing you to do. Pray, Fast, PRAISE.

Do you see why Luke 10:18-20 is such an important passage to memorize? Heck, I even put a melody to it so it could get deep down in my subconscious and now I’m sharing it with you.

Pestilence - in this case Scorpions and Serpents can be a type or shadow of “Spirits.”

This is why in the passage Yahusha says

“the spirits are subject to you"…”

He goes on to say

“.. but don’t rejoice in this, rather rejoice that your name is written in the heavens."

The 3 take-aways are:
1) New levels require you to fight with new divine strategy and weapons (Are you listening for these instructions?)
2) Faith has to dominate your fears (You will be tested in this area in order to produce the needed endurance and resilience)
3) As you’re building confidence in the word and the authority the Father Yah has given unto you by way of Yahusha - remember to rejoice not in the “power”, but in knowing (as you walk obedient, righteously in His love and light), your name will be written in the heavens. The powerful words spoken to them long ago, are still active and alive for us today, HalleluYAH! Receive, believe and OBEY!
